About
Erick Lima
Built for Precision. Ready for Fiction.
I specialize in 3D concept design and visualization, with a focus on cinematic presentation, believable engineering, and real-world functionality.
My approach to design is shaped by hands-on experience with real gear, real systems, and the environments they’re built for. That background gives me a practical understanding of how objects need to feel: durable, intentional, organized, and ready to be used. I bring that perspective as a U.S. Army veteran.
My current work blends cinematic 3D presentation with military-industrial influence, focusing on props, devices, vehicles, and equipment.
What I bring
Concept Design Thinking
My concept design process starts with fundamentals: shape, proportion, function, and how each decision supports the final design. I use iteration to explore and refine ideas, balancing intuitive decisions with creative problem-solving until the object feels clear, intentional, and believable.
Hard Surface Modeling
I build clean, functional hard-surface models with a strong balance of form, structure. My focus is on purposeful part separation, readable construction, and models that feel designed rather than just assembled
Texturing
I use materials to support the story of the asset. Surface wear, edge treatment, roughness variation, and material contrast are all considered carefully, with the goal of making each object feel handled, used, and grounded without overworking the design.
Rendering
I present each asset in a way that supports the design. Lighting, composition, camera angle, and material response are used to communicate form, function, mood, and intent while giving the model a cinematic, production-ready finish.
Let's Connect
If you’re looking for a detail-oriented designer for worldbuilding, project development, or high-impact visuals, I’d be happy to connect and discuss how I can help bring your vision to life.
